The reference data area contains settings for the content of every “drop down list box” in the entire Gnosis system.

Virtually all drop-down lists may be customized using reference data.  The system may prevent you from deleting some entries which means that the entry is required. You may change the wording in these cases you may change the wording but should not change the general meaning of the entry to avoid confusion.

Special Definition Types

Certain categories in Reference Data require additional definitions in addition to the Display name.  These additional definitions determine how the reference data item behaves in the Gnosis system.

Age Ranges

When defining age ranges in the system, use the Bound From and to fields to specify the lower and upper age ranges that you have described in the Display Name field.

Calendar Cities

When specifying calendar cities, you must specify the Time Zone ID in which the city resides.  Cities may be cascaded inside regions and countries and the correct time zone should be specified for all entries in this category. The "Bound From" field should be used to hold the Time Zone ID.  Use the following table of Time Zone ID's when entering Calendar Cities:
